Welcome to Focus Tuition. My name is Jeffery Gao. I worked as a tutor at the University of Melbourne's Graduate School of Business and Economics. I'm currently based at Monash University, Clayton Campus.

I have been providing tuition services to VCE, IB and undergraduate students since 2003. I specialise in lesson planning, curriculum-based coursework and accelerated learning.

I created this blogging space as a means of communicating with parents and students. Occasionally, I will also make informational posts with regards to the subjects that I teach.

My Teaching Philosophy:

Rigorous application of learning outcomes and principles based on VCAA study design.

Problem-based learning and asymmetric methodology to encourage and empower original thinking.

Lesson planning, curriculum-based coursework and accelerated learning to help target 90+ ATAR and 35+ IB.

Build confidence through practice; replace rote learning with enlightened understanding.

Advanced problem solving and analytical techniques for science, maths and humanities.
